Используется plus-que-parfait du subjonctif в тех же случаях, что и обычный plus-que-parfait, но только когда структура предложения требует использования сослагательного наклонения.
Примеры:
Les enfants ne voulaient pas revenir à la maison, quoique sa mère leur eusse déjà appelés trois fois. - Дети не хотели возвращаться домой, хотя мать звала их уже 3 раза.
Il se fâcha qu’elle ne lui eusse pas téléphoné. - Он разозлился, что она ему не позвонила.
